=================
Some extra details on using Active Sync 4.5
1. In ActiveSync on the computer: On the File menu, click Connection Settings and select the Allow USB connections check box.
2. In the Start -> ActiveSync program on your device: Click Menu > Connections and select the Synchronize all PCs using this connection check box.
3. In the Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC: select Serial Sync Mode

When the Windows Mobile device is connected to a PC via the ActiveSync 4.5 software, there is an Explore feature to view
the files and folders of the device.
Below is the hierarchy structure for Windows Mobile 6 on a O2 Atom Life smartphone.

1. My Documents folder is a mirror to the root file structure. In other words, you will find inside My Documents exactly all the folders from Business, Calls, .... to UAContents, VisualOn.
2. MP3 and perhaps other formats of musics can be placed in My Ringtones and it will automatically be available as a ringtone for the phone.
3. StartMenu folder for shortcuts are found under Windows folder.
Low Battery Warning
====================
in Settings|Sounds & Notifications|Notifications tab. You can disable the "Display message on screen" option and only have it play a sound. If you can't find the "Low Battery Warning" under the events pull-down, then you will need to apply a tweak as suggested above. Instructions for the tweak were originally taken from Philippe Majerus' site but the link no longer works.
First get yourself a good registry editor such as PHM's free regEdit. Use it to navigate to HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications.
Then look for a key named {A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}. If it doesn't exist then create it.
Under that key create a new String Value named Default with its data set to "Low Battery Warning".
Exit out of the registry editor and go to Start|Settings|Personal tab|Sounds & Notifications|Notifications tab. Under the "Select an event" pull-down select the new "Low Battery Warning" event that you just created. You can then disable/enable both sounds and the message for this event.
SMS
===
Backup SMS
- located in two places:
- in Memory - directly under Mobile Devices
- in Card - \Memory Card\My Documents
- if located elsewhere, then the phone may not find the files.
- file extension is *.jaf
SIM vs Memory (Phone) vs Storage (Card)
- new SMS received is placed on Phone
- each SMS on Phone can be copied to SIM
- each SMS on SIM can be copied to phone
- batch of SMS can be BACKUP to *.jaf files stored in Phone Memory or Storage Card
- batch of SMS can be RESTORE from *.jaf files stored in Phone Memory or Storage Card to SIM
Changing Display / Wallpaper
=============================
1. Download the theme in CAB file format.
2. Copy the CAB file onto the phone.
3. Using the phone's File Explorer, find the CAB file and run it. If there is an option of where to install, then install in the device rather than the Storage Card.
4. Once installed, the theme pictures will be in My Documents/Themes/....
5. Go to Settings - Home and select the new theme.
